Are You Ready for Your Next Chapter?

NEXT CHAPTER

Reinvent your career. Reframe your experience. Build what comes next.

Next Chapter is a coaching and career transition program for experienced women navigating an unexpected professional change.

Danai Mailanga, PA HUB Director, WORC

Your experience didn’t disappear with your job.

A layoff, eliminated position, or forced retirement may have changed your plans. It didn’t erase everything you’ve built.

Next Chapter helps experienced women take stock of what they know, what they’ve accomplished, and what they want next, and turn that experience into a new career direction or a business of their own.

Every participant begins with an assessment of where she is personally and professionally, then chooses the pathway that fits her next chapter.

Why Now

Between February and July 2025, 319,000 Black women lost their jobs, making them the only group of women to experience significant net job losses during that period.

Behind those numbers are experienced women asking a very practical question:

What do I do next?

Next Chapter was created to help answer it.

Why Mom Your Business

For nearly a decade, Mom Your Business has helped women move from ideas to action through coaching, business education, executive support, connections, and access to capital.

We know how to help women recognize the value of what they already know and build from there.

REFRAME | Entrepreneurship Track

What if what you know could become what you own?

Reframe helps women turn professional expertise into a viable business or consulting practice.

Participants receive six weeks of business education followed by 90 days of hands-on implementation support from experienced fractional leaders in executive leadership, operations, finance, marketing, communications, and procurement.

You’ll move beyond learning and begin building with support to develop your business model, brand, systems, financial foundation, and path to customers and contracts.

Participants will also receive targeted intern support to help put pieces of their business infrastructure into place.

Because Next Chapter isn’t just about teaching you how to start. It’s about helping you get started.

The Grounded CEO Series

Every Next Chapter participant will take part in The Grounded CEO Series, led by Djuan Short, LCSW.

Career disruption affects more than a résumé or paycheck. This trauma-informed series incorporates mindfulness, life coaching, and emotional regulation to help participants rebuild confidence, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward intentionally.

Each participant leaves with an action plan for her next professional chapter.
